Once the Park opens, it will be a happening place for events such as concerts, yoga and exercise, dance groups, reunions, weddings, festivals, and farmer’s markets. You can also meander down to the site to explore the whirligigs, read a book, or enjoy the sun. Until opening day, it’s fun to imagine what other sorts of events might happen there.
The project is collaborating with Barton College, Imagination Station Science and History Museum, Arts Council of Wilson, Wilson County Schools, and others to develop dynamic programs that integrate science and the arts…expanding STEM to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).

But don’t wait until the Park opens, you’ll miss some of the best part! Come to Wilson to watch these giant kinetic sculptures being conserved. While you’re here, you’ll be happy to find out that there’s plenty of things already happening at the crossroads and around town.
